I love watching people view my paintings as they look at the canvas with curiosity. It thrills me when I see a spark in their eyes as they begin their visual journey going deeper into the imagery and colors on the canvas. There is so much to see here.
Take your time and enjoy!
Linda Feinstein is an intuitive mixed media painter based in Dunedin, Florida, where she both lives and operates her studio. Her artistic journey has been shaped by a diverse array of influences, as she studied with artists across various styles before honing her own distinctive approach to intuitive painting.
Feinstein's art is characterized by a bold and vibrant use of color, drawing viewers in with its initial impact and then captivating them as they delve deeper into the layers of her work. Her paintings serve as portals to the imagination, inviting observers to explore the rich complexities and hidden depths within each composition.
Throughout her career, Feinstein has exhibited and sold her original artwork extensively throughout the Tampa Bay area, garnering acclaim for her expressive style and evocative imagery. Currently, her pieces can be viewed at the Dunedin Fine Art Center and at Studio 1212 Art Gallery, where they continue to captivate audiences with their dynamic energy and emotive resonance.
In addition to her pursuits as a practicing artist, Feinstein is deeply involved in arts education. She serves on the faculty of the Dunedin Fine Art Center, where she shares her passion for intuitive painting by teaching classes to aspiring artists. Through her teaching, she seeks to inspire others to tap into their creativity, embrace the joy of experimentation, and discover the transformative power of intuitive expression.
Making art is my passion—an exhilarating journey where I witness the transformation of nothing into something wonderful. My work is rooted in the practice of intuitive painting, a process that allows me to create freely and expressively, without attachment to a specific outcome.
I work primarily with acrylics and mixed media on large canvases, drawn to the freedom of bold, layered gestures and vibrant colors. Each piece begins without a plan, and as I move with the flow of the moment, the painting reveals itself—sometimes softly, sometimes all at once. It’s a dance between surrender and creation, and it’s in that space where the magic happens.
In addition to my own art practice, I have the honor of being an instructor at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center. Guiding others to trust their instincts and embrace the unknown in their own work is one of the greatest joys of my creative life. I love watching that spark in a student’s eyes when they begin to let go, trust the process, and pour their unique voice onto the canvas. It’s a powerful reminder that creativity lives within us all—waiting to be released.
Whether I’m painting or teaching, I return again and again to the beauty of intuitive expression. Each canvas is a journey, a conversation, and an invitation to explore the limitless possibilities of art without fear or judgment.
